I'm very happy to share with you some fantastic news about our upcoming game. We've finally settled on a name: Shadows of the Afterland . We've chosen these words with great care, and as you progress through the game you'll find that they allow for multiple interpretations. We think that the name reflects the setting and atmosphere of the game very well.
Allow me to introduce Isidro, the zookeeper of the Casa de Fieras, Madrid's old zoo. Although Isidro isn't a main character, he plays a crucial role in the story. He's a complicated character who has a steady income from his job, but is always trying to make extra cash to feed his vices. He's rude, misogynistic and doesn't like talking to women, but he has some critical information that we need to advance in the game. You'll need to find a way to get around his chauvinism.
We've made great progress with some talented artists who want to help us bring the game to life. If all goes well, we plan to ramp up production in a few weeks and start replacing all the placeholder images in the prototype.
We've almost finished identifying and fixing all the story and puzzle bugs we found during internal testing of the prototype. To prevent some of the issues that affected our previous game, we'd also like to do some limited external testing of the prototype. At this stage, it's still relatively easy to make non-trivial changes to the story and puzzles. The prototype is veeeery rough (and ugly). The only things that should have production quality in the prototype are the story and puzzles. Everything else is placeholders (most of which haven't been drawn by artists), there are no animations, many hotspots aren't yet interactive, etc. If you're interested in helping us test the prototype, stay tuned, because we'll be asking for help soon.
We need your support to make this game a reality. If you haven't already, please consider buying, reviewing, and recommending our previous game, Intruder in Antiquonia. Your support will help us fund the development of Shadows of the Afterland and bring you more exciting games in the future.
Thank you for your support and we can't wait to sharing more updates with you soon!
